Friday morning 10/31/25
as usual, Marty likes to arrive early

It's Halloween and we have a crew of 13

This weekend we want to finish this turn

We need to dig a base for the supporting crib-wall

This is the section leading up to the turn

This is the section after the turn and going uphill

Marty to the rescue

Using a leaf blower, Marty made the trail safer
and easier for us to do our work

Rebeka digs up the cobble,
now that the leaves are out of the way

George and Len,
are getting the armor rocks ready

Mike keeping his balance
on a steep and slippery hillside -

Slowly making the turn

Nancy really enjoys making crush,
she says it's very cathartic

Dan is on a mission,
the more he digs the more he finds

Now that's in, now on to the platform

George feels this one is too good to be an anchor rock
so let's send it down to Howie

Saturday morning and a great turnout.
21 volunteers, and Logan, out today

Lets take a hike up to our worksite

Work continues at the turn,
with more steps after the platform

Rebeka learning griphoist operations from a master

Howie prepares a base for an anchor rock

And here it comes

Jim controls it with the belay,
so no one gets hurt

Russ is finding out that the next challenge
is this very tight rock crevice

Peter gets ready to move the high-line

He builds the ladder, one section at a time

Rich shows just how tight the crevice really is

One section then another then another...

Our plan is to build steps in the crevice

Peter is finally high enough to set the sling
needed to operate the high-line

Here comes another big rock out of Dan's "office"

And Peter is up another tree

Lunch time and again just beautiful surroundings

Russ continues building steps in the rock crevice

Len keeps armoring the trail

Working hard to get the turn steps completed

An hour later and now all finished

Late in the day
and Peter is up in one last tree

End of day crew meeting.
Everyone has Halloween candy to share

Peter is also very good at tech support

Sunday morning and there is frost on the meadow

The sun is shining brightly
and the day is warming up

After the rock crevice
this is the next section to be rebuilt

And that next section is very steep

We will build a new pathway right through here

Break time, time to sit back and unwind

It will become a step and a platform all in one

The next big rock is on the line
