Friday morning 11/14/25
A crew of 14 Volunteers out today

Don't back up,
Bill adhering to our safety guidelines

On a cool autumn day,
we are being warmed by the sun

Logan, a Rhodesian Ridgeback,
keeps a watchful eye on everyone

Another turn getting crush and a few steps

Connecting big rocks to the highline

More steps means more rocks going for a ride

Wow, the next section is all big rocks

To build steps in this area,
we have to bring in smaller big rocks

This picture gives you some idea
of how steep it is where we are working

Logan found the perfect spot for a lookout

Using big rocks is how we built new trail

It's a real good start, only thing missing
are more anchor rocks

Saturday morning and it's what?
Brrrr

Back to building steps and adding anchor rocks

The next big rock is on the line

Pushing and pulling to get it into place

Terri just loves making crush

The trail goes up through here then makes a right

The next step goes in on a bed of crush

Jeff finds a not so comfortable place to rest

Yes, all our steps will be level,
even the real big ones

Stephanie gathers surface rocks to be used as crush

Before we split it into two pieces
A & B was one rock

Piece marked A will make a sturdy step,
B will make a great anchor rock

It got chilly, so Rich gave Logan a jacket

Chris likes to be comfortable
while controlling the belay

Joe takes over and guides it down the hill

To build a lot of steps,
we move a ton of rocks

Stephanie works the belay for the next big rock

She's keeping this rock from zooming down the hill

Now that's one serious anchor rock

Jeff has the next one under control

Now in place, it's one beautiful step

And on top of that one, another big step arrives

10 minutes later here comes another one

Of course that big one is an anchor rock

Joe digging the next step out of the ground

It's a couple hours later
and Terri is still making crush

If we can't dig it out,
Dan will try to break it out

Howie tries to break just the end off

Now that's a pretty good day's work

Sunday morning,
sunny and not as cold as yesterday,
15 Volunteers out today

Very quickly, we're moving big rocks

We are almost up to the lookout point
and the end of this rebuild

But until we get there,
we're still moving big rocks

Safety Break
Watch your step it's a long way down

Digging soil, making crush, moving big rocks
all in days work

George and Tom go old school on this big rock

That's a really big rock, but it's in our way

Once we get it out, we will use it as a step

We did get it out and it's on the move

Yes indeed that is one big step rock
it'll need a very deep base

Bob and Terri preparing a base for the next crib wall rock

Zac also goes old school using a cold chisel,
and by the way, the rock won

One thing for sure,
kneepads are almost a necessity

This is when we realized the base is not deep enough

So it's lifted back out of the hole,
so we can dig a deeper

It took us over one hour,
as you can see it was worth it
