A damp and wet weekend ahead

At the upper worksite we continue building new trail

The chief heads up the ladder
to make highline adjustments

First rock of the day goes for a ride

Add it to crib-wall

New Volunteer Noah works the griphoist

Jim empties another tub sent from the rock pile

Everyone wants to work the griphoist
here is Fred taking his turn

everyone heads back to the parking lot

It takes patience and various tools to make it right

To the casual hiker, this path looks like any trail,
but is in reality a very complex build

Ed gathers mineral soil for the new trail surface

Our new trail is progressing nicely across the hillside

It's Father's Day and these fathers
want to build some new trail

Looking uphill at the old path

New path across the hillside

Lower worksite almost completed

At the upper worksite
more big rocks get delivered

One after another
big rocks make the trip downhill

Making it work,

While Tom gets the rope puller ready

No heavy lifting,
A rare moment for these three

Back to heavy lifting.
Another big rock getting ready for a tub ride

In the tub and ready to go for a ride

And away it goes

Down the highline and dropped into another tub at the worksite

The lower tub is then pulled to the lower worksite

Time to take down highline #2

This last section is very challenging

Back at the rock pile, Terri helps Beau
learn the art of breaking big rocks

And Bam… another great break

Next one with a small crack

20 minutes later,
a big crack appears

Beau spreads the crack using a cold chisel

Now that's a clean break

Terri has one more ready to crack

Six minutes later a crack emerges

15 minutes later... done

Terri and Beau doin' the tub walk

With all rock pile rocks split,
Terri takes to the belay

The belay is controlling the cargo bag
full of buckets of gravel

Dr. Dave making a few adjustments at the staging area

Russ and Peter slinging up the last rock for today

It’s 2:30, time to set the rock down
and call it a day
