Long Path relocation on Long Mountain begins

We have a great turnout today

It‘s up up and away

It all starts with Chris flagging the new route

The trail will go through here

Relo section will come from the left then turn uphill and rejoin the existing trail

Day one is over, let‘s head back to the parking lot

Starting the upper steps

The upper steps begin

It‘s a tight area to work in

Now Jeff is making crush

Just how many volunteers does it take to check the rock

Now there are 4 steps in place

And of course more crush was needed

So that‘s how you make crush

Clearing the path using the rope puller

Securing the rope puller was a challenge

It was a tough fight but we got it out

Now it‘s time to move some rocks

Rock bars, rope puller and belay are needed here

We‘ll just drag the rock into place

End of day #2

This section could use a couple of steps

And another step or two right here
