9/22/2023 - Friday morning,
Jeff is not a hammer head,
he has a hammer over his head

Nobody like that joke

Dan takes a look at it and thinks it's a bit small
but 6lb. is the weight we use

Morning safety meeting in the parking lot

On the way to the woods lot
we encountered a limb across the road

Everyone made it to the woods lot
so let's get going

A nice and easy 25 minute hike to our worksite base

A view of our work environment

And there just up the hill, is one of our worksites

Our grip hoist, a magical device,
we use it to raise and lower the highline

Using the handle on the lower post,
the cable is pulled and the highline is pulled tight
causing it to raise up and lift big rocks

Using the handle on the upper post,
the cable is let out and the highline is slackened
causing it to lower big rocks

Jim, Jeff and Howie
try to excavate a huge rock for the crib wall

Looks like the next crib-wall rock has been located

We just have to move it across the hillside

There were many challenges along the way

First we had to get it around that big tree

Then move it the rest of the way using a rope-puller

Here it comes, now just move it into place

It just won't make it

Ok set it down,
add an additional belay and rope-puller

Now everybody, Pull, Pull, Pull

Almost there

It's in, Howie smiles with a sense of accomplishment

It's in place, now remove the slings

Lifting the rock to remove the sling

Taking a step back and admiring their work

This was this morning

After just one day of work, looks pretty darn good

This is at the end of the day, Nice work everyone
