Friday morning after recent heavy rains

Dragon‘s back water-bar is working
but needs improvement

Jim, Rich, Howie, Dan, Bill, and Tabatha
are here and ready to get to work

A lot of pedestrian traffic is expected
so our sign is up to get their attention

Erik and Jeff explain to Jim,
how to safely operate the griphoist

As Jim pratices how to operate the griphoist,
Jeff stands by to lend a hand if needed

Bill and Erik get the high-line setup
for the first big rock of the day

continue work on the Dragon‘s back water bar

It's lunch time, it's very hot and we all need a break

After lunch, crew member Russ and his wife Mary,
stop by so Mary can see this great project

As always, at the end of the day
we find a shady spot for our crew meeting

The arrow points to where the rock,
Dr. Dave is pointing to, is going

It‘s Jack's turn on the griphoist
with episodic volunteer Chaiwen, working the tail

Dr. Dave and Howie are waiting for the rock,
Jeff is guiding it, Peter on belay
and Erik is keeping pedestrians and cyclist safe

Marion pitches in to guide the rock into place

The next rock is ready, and it's a big one

I'll call this one, 3 on a rope
or should I say, 3 on a belay

Set the rock down, remove the extension,
and lift it again

That big rock will hold the entire crib-wall together

20 minutes later, it's already in place

By the end of the day on Saturday,
we have made it past the next turn

Whew another really hot day, so we reward ourselves
with a cool beverage in the shade

It's early Sunday morning
and we are already discussing options

It‘s been decided, this rock is next

Discussing the rocks final orientation,
before it leaves the ground

Peter connects the belay,
Tension Hoist!

How we control where we want the rock to go
without using a rope-puller

Dr. Dave has the next rock under control

And Jack sets this one right into place

Dr, Dave, Jeff and Bob, working to connect the sling extension to the high-line block

Erik wants this big one, marked with the "x"
as the top platform to the crib-wall and a step

It's on the line and moving slowly

Jack and Bob keep it from damaging the new steps

This is a poor choice of location
to mount the belay

It's in the air and well on it's way

Finally in place,
we need an anchor rock to stabilize it

Bob has found one that looks like a perfect fit

Several pedestrians gather to watch all the action

After the anchor rock is in place
Peter checks the step… of course it's level

A couple of minutes later
the last step for this weekend, goes for a ride

And Erik and Peter tappy tap it, snug into place

We all took a minute to gaze at our work
Well Done and a big Thank You to all
Yes, we are all Volunteers
