Friday morning sign up and safety meeting

It‘s only 9:30 AM and we‘re already starting out level

This section is complete
Better support bases and new planks
were added as needed

Here comes Jeff with another plank

That plank is heavy…  Jeff just makes it look easy

have some water, maybe a snack, rest a bit

OK now what do we do?

That sounds like a like a good idea

We need a sturdy rock border to contain the gravel

Jack and Russ are rocking and rolling, a nice size rock

We need rocks this big to hold the gravel in place

Further down the trail,

Planks are positioned, using a spacer

And holes are drilled for the 6 inch nails

WORMS EVERYWHERE… 
no not, really just catkins from a nearby tree

After lunch, building the rock wall to contain the gravel

Not quite level now… 
but it will be when we are finished

We used a scrap piece of a plank as a shim

The shim works great…
let‘s drill and nail it down

All bases prepared and ready

Time to move and flip the board

This will be the last section for today,
and we have made it to the pond

Another great crew meeting in Misha‘s driveway

Saturday morning and it‘s very wet

Not really raining but
it was recently and probably will again soon

The A.T. thru-hiker with shoes of a different color,
and a great story to go with it

These volunteers are replacing the damaged planks

Marty‘s only job was to keep the wheelbarrows full

It‘s a sunny Sunday morning,
and we‘re back on the Appalachian Trail

That step section finished yesterday
came out looking pretty good

Chris and Clint are drilling and nailing new planks
